This exciting fourth year hoop camp is designed for girls only. Participants will work to improve their skills of dribbling, shooting and passing. Learning and gaining confidence is very important when playing basketball. Having fun, meeting new friends, playing games and competing in individual contests are important too.
Camp Director Tangy Williams serve as the camp director for the University of Virginia. She recently completed her third year as the director for basketball operations. UVA advanced to the quarterfinals of the women’s National Invitational Tournament in 2006.Williams spent the 2004 season serving as an assistant director of operations with Ohio State Women’s Basketball team, working under head coach Bill Foster. Ohio State finished the season 21-10 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA. Williams played for Bowling Green State University where she led the team to two Mid-American Conference Championships and two NCAA tournament appearances. Her sister, Tamika, a former player for Connecticut plays for the WNBA Minnesota Lynx.
Coach and her staff are proven coaches on the collegiate and high school levels with the experience and qualifications to help children achieve personal their personal goals. Campers should bring a non-perishable lunch for the first three days.
